Detectives in Madisonville say they began investigating a suspect for soliciting a minor earlier this month.
Police say during their investigation, 44-year-old Gregory Banks of Georgetown was identified as the suspect.
Officers say the investigation began after Banks reached out to a child online and started sending obscene content and discussing sexual acts.
According to Madisonville Police Department, Banks was arrested on a warrant and taken into custody by the Scott County Sheriff’s Office.
He is charged with three counts of Promoting Use of Minor by Electric Means and booked into the Hopkins County Jail.
