The Transit Authority of River City is increasing fare prices, for the first time since 2012, starting March 2.
The TARC Board of Directors approved updates to the fare schedule Tuesday after public engagement and a federally required Title VI review process.
A seven-day pass will go from $15 to $25, and a 30-day pass will go from $50 to $75. The adult fare increases from $1.75 to $2.25. The student and senior fare increases from $.80 to $1.00. The 24 hour pass goes from $3.50 to $5.00. Summer Youth Pass increases from $30.00 to $45.00 and the TARC3 Paratransit goes from $3.00 to $4.50.
Officials said the updated fares come ahead of the August 2 launch of the New TARC Network.
