
Five people, including a juvenile, were arrested in connection with a fatal shooting outside of a Shively club, according to police.
The Shively Police Department announced several search warrants were executed at multiple locations on Wednesday, February 25, leading to the arrests of five suspects in connection with the shooting at Club 7 that left Rodney Parker dead and another victim injured on Monday, February 2.
According to arrest documents, Shively Police Department acquired video surveillance that showed the defendants arriving at Club 7 and executing what appeared to be a coordinated attack.
Police say as the victims left the club, the group of suspects began to open fire, hitting Parker. The group is said to have then approached the victim while he was incapacitated on the ground, and then proceeded to shoot him at close range.
Keasia Tyson, 27, is charged with Murder (complicity); Assault 2nd (complicity); and Wanton Endangerment 1st (complicity) – 2 counts.
Davion Birdsong, 19, is charged with Murder (complicity); Assault 2nd (complicity); and Wanton Endangerment 1st (complicity) – 2 counts.
Chance Guthrie, 18, is charged with Murder (complicity); Assault 2nd (complicity); Wanton Endangerment 1st (complicity) – 2 counts; and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
D’Montray Rox, 20, is charged with Murder (complicity); Assault 2nd (complicity); and Wanton Endangerment 1st (complicity) – 2 counts.
A Juvenile is charged with Murder (complicity); Assault 2nd (complicity); Wanton Endangerment 1st (complicity) – 2 counts; and Minor in Possession of a Handgun.
Suspect Chance Guthrie had previously been charged in the 2021 murder of 14-year-old Darrin Thiele. Guthrie, who was also 14 at the time, was tried as an adult and sentenced to home incarceration.
Davion Birdsong was arrested in June of 2023 in connection with a fatal crash after he and three others carjacked a vehicle that was then used in a drive-by shooting and then crashed into a motorcycle while fleeing the scene, killing the driver.
The following individuals were also arrested during the operation on unrelated charges:
Malik Birdsong, 22, is charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.
De’marion Coleman, 21, is charged with Trafficking in Marijuana (8oz to 5lbs) – Enhanced.
Larica Turner, 43, is charged with Trafficking in a Controlled Substance – Enhanced and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Shively Police Department says the operation was done in partnership with Louisville Metro Police, the FBI and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
