
A Tennessee woman died Saturday shortly after arriving at the Hopkinsville, Kentucky jail, according to Hopkinsville Fire Department Spokesperson Captain Payton Rogers.
Emergemcy crews were dispatched to the jail on West 7th Street for reports of a woman possibly overdosing.
Emergency personnel performed life-saving measures, but they were not successful.
The Christian County Coroner’s Office pronounced 31-year-old Zoe Johnson, of Brentwood, Tennessee, dead at the scene. Her body was sent to the coroner’s office for autopsy.
Johnson was being booked into the jail on a possession of opiates charge.
