
An arrest has been made in connection to a deadly shooting that happened Saturday morning, March 7, in Daviess County.
According to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, Daviess County Central Dispatch received a report of a shooting that had occurred near Highway 144 and Saint Lawrence Road in Knottsville, Kentucky.
Reports indicated that a fight had broken out at a field party. As Daviess County Sheriff deputies were heading to the scene, they were told several people had been taken from the party to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital by private means. Additional deputies went to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital and confirmed two people were being treated for gunshot wounds.
One of the victims, a 19-year-old male, died from his wounds after arriving at the hospital. The other individual was released from Owensboro Health Regional Hospital later that day, according to Daviess County Sheriff’s Office.
After early morning investigations, Daviess County Sheriff detectives identified two persons of interest, tracking their movements from Knottsville to La Grange.
Oldham County law enforcement was asked to assist detectives in the investigation. Around 8 a.m. Oldham County officers located the suspect vehicle in La Grange.
Two search warrants were obtained for residences and one search warrant for the suspect vehicle which were executed by the Oldham County Special Response Team. The searches gave detectives vital evidence that tied the suspects to the shooting.
One of the two suspects was located and arrested during a traffic stop in La Grange. Ayden Farrow, 19, of La Grange, was arrested and returned to Owensboro where he is currently in the Daviess County Detention Center. Farrow’s charges include hindering prosecution or apprehension and tampering with physical evidence. His bond is currently $250,000.
The second suspect, 20 year-old James Carr of Crestwood, is actively being sought out on a warrant for murder, second degree assault and tampering with physical evidence.
The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says Carr is believed to be armed and dangerous and should not be confronted.
