Two people are dead after what officials believe to be a murder-suicide in the Newburg neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded to a call at 6:51 p.m. of a shooting in the 3400 block of East Indian Trail on Sunday, March 8.
At the scene, police found a man and a woman who had both been shot. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while the man was taken to UofL Hospital, where he also eventually died from his injuries.
Officials say the incident appears to be a murder-suicide.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is investigating.
