
A Hart County woman is behind bars after a complaint was made at a Glasgow gas station.
The Glasgow Police Department said they were called to the Speedway parking lot on Wednesday, March 11, on a complaint of a woman who was passed out inside a vehicle.
Once at the scene, police said they found the vehicle parked beside the fuel pumps with the female, identified as 46 year-old Wendy Shavon Hawkins of Cub Run, passed out in the driver’s seat.
Officers reported an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. A search allegedly revealed drug paraphernalia, a set of scales, and hydrocodone, in addition to methamphetamine and a glass pipe on Hawkins’ person.
Hawkins was arrested and charged with Public intoxication of a controlled substance excluding alcohol; First-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (hydrocodone); First-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine); First-degree promoting contraband and Possession of drug paraphernalia.
She was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.
