Madisonville Police Department officials say a man is in jail after purchasing/downloading child sexual abuse material.
According to a police report, the transaction of the material took place on February 25, 2025.
Officials say on Tuesday, police located the suspect, later identified as Christopher McBride, at his home in Madisonville.
During an interview with police, McBride admitted to purchasing/downloading the child sexual abuse material.
He told police the transaction occurred on the “dark web.”
McBride was arrested and booked into the Hopkins County Detention Center and charged with Possession Matter of Sex Performance by a Minor.
