
A teacher at Bardstown High School has been arrested Monday, March 30, 2026, on charges of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Mary “Hanna” Mattingly, 31, is charged with sexual abuse and procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means. She is being held in the Nelson County Correctional Center without bond.
According to the Bardstown Police Department, their investigation revealed Mattingly engaged in sexual contact with the student and was also in contact with the student by electronic means. A media release says the electronic contact included the sending of partially nude photos to the student.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Bardstown Police at 502-348-6811 or 502-348-HEAT (4328).
