
A man was taken to the hospital for surgery after a shooting near UofL’s campus, according to Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers responded to a call of a shooting near East Bloom Street and Floyd Street around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 1. They arrived to find a 24-year-old man who had been shot multiple times.
A spokesperson for UofL confirmed the man was a student at the university. A campus alert sent to students said that police were looking for a black SUV that fled westbound on Bloom Street.
The victim was taken to UofL Hospital by EMS.
