
Three people have been arrested by Louisville Metro police in connection with a shooting that happened over the weekend.
The suspects have been identified as 24 year-old William Billups, 19 year-old Jamikel Brown and a 15-year-old juvenile.
All three suspects are charged with assault in a shooting that happened April 11, 2026, in the 200 block of East Broadway. Billups and Brown are also charged with robbery. Billups is facing an additional charge of being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun.
According to court documents, Billups is facing charges in a second assault case that happened Sunday, April 12. In that case, a man was shot in the ankle during an altercation.
The court entered not guilty pleas for Billups and appointed a public defender to represent him. Bond for Billups was set at $100,000 cash and he will be back in court April 22 for preliminary hearings.
