An Owensboro man was arrested on April 14, 2026, following a month long investigation into allegations involving a juvenile, according to Kentucky State Police, Post 16 in Henderson.
At approximately 9:30 p.m., troopers arrested 50 year-old Juan Luis Mendez Segovia after an investigation revealed he engaged in a sexual relationship with a juvenile.
Mendez Segovia was charged with Human Trafficking – Sex Activity (Two counts) and Procuring or Promoting Use of a Minor by Electronic Means (One count)
Mendez Segovia was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center in Owensboro under a $500,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on April 17.
The investigation is on-going by Kentucky State Police detectives.
