
A Kentucky man was hospitalized on Thursday afternoon after a tree fell on his house in Hopkinsville, trapping him underneath, during severe weather.
The incident happened on East 12th Street. Captain Payton Rogers with the Hopkinsville Fire Department said the tree fell on the back side of the man’s home while he was inside, trapping him underneath.
He was taken to the hospital after the EMS suspected he had several broken bones.
The accident occured during a severe storm that swept across the area on Thursday. The storms swept across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky, knocking out power to tens of thousands in the Nashville area as it brought down hail and strong winds.
