A man turned himself in on Sunday following a fatal shooting in the Park DuValle neighborhood, according to Louisville Metro Police.
Officers responded to a call at around 9:30 p.m. of a shooting in the 1600 block of Louis Coleman Jr. Drive on Saturday, April 18.
At the scene, police found a young adult male inside a home who had been shot and was “obviously deceased.”
The victim was identified by the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office on Sunday, April 19, as 22-year-old James Pendleton.
Officials say that 20-year-old Gianni Fortney turned himself in to officers on Sunday. He was arrested and is being charged with murder and wanton endangerment.
LMPD’s Homicide Unit is still actively investigating.
