Louisville Metro Police are investigating after a deceased individual with a gunshot wound was found in the Chickasaw neighborhood Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to a call at around 2:30 p.m. of a deceased individual in the 700 block of Dearborn Avenue on April 25.
The victim has been identified as Jimmie L. Robertson. The victim is a Black man approximately 64 years old.
Police secured the scene for EMS and medical professionals, who then pronounced the victim dead.
Initial investigation by LMPD’s Homicide Unit determined that the victim had been shot in the abdomen, which most likely caused his death.
