Louisville Metro Police Department said detectives were able to recover dozens of guns within 48 hours of a burglary at a Valley Station home.
In a social media post Tuesday, Louisville Metro Police Department said the victim reported around 40 guns had been taken from their home on April 20.
Days later, LMPD Third Division detectives and SWAT executed multiple search warrants, recovering 48 stolen guns and arresting two men.
Daniel Vincent, 37, was charged with engaging in organized crime, theft by unlawful taking, and 20 counts of receiving stolen property.
Andrew Huffman Sr., 36, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, complicity to first-degree burglary, complicity to engaging in organized crime, and 20 counts of complicity to receiving stolen property.
According to Vincent’s arrest citation, police said he conspired with three other co-conspirators to rob the home after noticing mail piled up outside.
Police said the suspects saw guns through the windows and visited the home multiple times on different days.
The citation said they knocked on the door to see if anyone was home but got no answer.
Once the suspects stole the guns, police said they began distributing them to different locations across the city.
Huffman reportedly allowed Vincent and the other co-conspirators to stash the weapons in his apartment, according to his arrest citation.
More arrests are expected, and both men may face additional charges as the investigation remains ongoing.
