The Bowling Green Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle head-on collision that happened Saturday night around 9:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Corvette Drive.
Police say one of the drivers, 19 year-old Makyah L. Mackey of Bowling Green, was taken to the Medical Center for her injuries where she later died.
Dajuan B. Sykes, 29 of Bowling Green, the driver of the second vehicle, sustained only minor injuries.
According to witnesses, Sykes was passing another vehicle, in a curve, when he hit Mackey head-on.
Officers suspected Sykes was under the influence and obtained a search warrant for a blood sample.
Sykes was taken to the Warren County Regional Jail and is charged with Vehicular Homicide, Wanton Endangerment in the First Degree, Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Driving, Trafficking in Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
The crash remains under investigation.
