
A man is in the hospital after a shooting on Fifth Street Monday evening, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Officers responded to a report of a man who walked into Norton Healthcare Audubon Hospital Emergency Room with a gunshot wound around 4:40 p.m., according to LMPD spokesperson Aaron Ellis.
The man was then transferred to UofL Hospital for treatment. Officials said he is expected to survive.
During the investigation, detectives learned the shooting happened outside a home on Fifth Street.
