
A Barren County woman is facing burglary and drug charges after alleged theft from a storage unit.
According to Glasgow police, on Monday, May 4, an officer was conducting patrol when he located a woman taking items from a storage unit on Kentucky Street. The officer also discovered the lock to the unit had been cut.
Further investigation found the woman, identified as 33 year-old Megan Thomas of Glasgow, had stolen items inside of her vehicle. A search of the vehicle also revealed drugs and drug paraphernalia.
Thomas was arrested and charged with the following:
Third-degree burglary
Possession of burglary tools
First-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense (methamphetamine)
Possession of drug paraphernalia
Second-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified)
Third-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified)
She is being held in the Barren County Detention Center on a $2,500 cash bond.
