
Drivers in Louisville should prepare for overnight lane and ramp closures this week as work continues on the I-65 Central Corridor project.
Construction crews are continuing overnight work ahead of a planned summer closure along I-65. Officials say nearby residents and businesses should expect ongoing nighttime construction activity in the area.
Drivers can expect upcoming closures.
Monday, May 11, Tuesday, May 12 and Thursday, May 14 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.
On-ramp from Crittenden Drive to eastbound I-264 closed
Off-ramp from eastbound I-264 to northbound and southbound I-65 closed, including the Fair/Expo Center Main Gate
Eastbound I-264 lane closure between Crittenden Drive and the I-65 interchange
Tuesday, May 12 through Thursday, May 14 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.
On-ramp from 1st Street near Chestnut Street to southbound I-65 closed
Lane closures on southbound I-65 between St. Catherine Street and Arthur Street
Wednesday, May 13 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Off-ramp from northbound I-65 to eastbound I-264 closed
The overnight work comes ahead of a planned closure of a five-mile stretch of I-65 between the Watterson Expressway and downtown Louisville beginning June 1. The interstate is expected to reopen August 1 while crews replace and repair several bridges along the corridor.
