The Bowling Green Police Department received a report from a woman on Sunday, May 17, stating she had been raped.
The victim told officers she had been visiting a friend when the suspect offered her a ride home.
Before taking her home, the woman told police the man forced her to have sex while parked in a parking lot. He then drove her to her residence.
The woman later got medical attention and contacted the police.
After investigating, officers arrested 23-year-old Niyibitanga Venace of Bowling Green.
Venace was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail under a $10,000 cash bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on May 22.
He is charged with Rape, 1st Degree and Unlawful Imprisonment 1st Degree.
The investigation remains ongoing.
