The Kentucky State Police Post 3 responded to the scene of collision on Interstate 65 near the 53.2 mile point marker around 7 a.m. Saturday (05/23).
A preliminary investigation indicated that a 2018 Hyundai Santa fe, operated by 35 year-old Aleah Kroger of Dayton, Ohio, was traveling north on Interstate-65 near the 53 mile marker. While traveling north, Kroger’s vehicle left the right side of the roadway and collided with a semi-truck that was parked on the right shoulder.
Two juvenile passengers from Kroger’s vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. Aleah Kroger was transported to T.J. Sampson Community Hospital and then to the Medical Center in Bowling Green where she remains in critical condition.
Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by Cave City Police Department, Cave City Fire Department and Barren County EMS.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
