A Louisville woman is facing felony charges after an alleged assault involving a child, according to court records.
Court documents show 42 year-old Noella Uwimana was charged May 23 with first-degree assault (domestic violence) and first-degree criminal abuse of a child 12 or under.
Uwimana is being held on a $7,500 cash bond, with conditions that include no contact with the complaining witness/victim and no new arrests, according to the docket. An arraignment is scheduled for May 25.
The court record includes a report of a witness call involving an alleged assault of a 6-year-old girl at a local Thornton’s location. Police have not released additional details.
