Louisville Metro Police is investigating a shooting that happened just before 5 a.m. Sunday in the parking lot of Mid-City Mall.
While officers were on their way to the scene, a 19-year-old man showed up to an area hospital with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers determined this to be related to the incident.
Detectives learned there was an altercation in the parking lot that escalated into the shooting.
The victim is expected to survive.
