Louisville Metro Police officers responded to the scene of a shooting around 4:26 p.m. at 44th and Broadway on Saturday.
Upon arrival, the officers found an adult male with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police have identified the man as 27 year-old Kevonte L. White.
Officers rendered first aid until EMS arrived. EMS assumed care and transported White to UofL Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by medical personnel.
LMPD homicide is leading the investigation.
