Metro Police announced the arrest of 18 year-old Cameron J. Boyd in connection with a shooting investigation from September 2, 2025.
Louisville Metro Police Department says Boyd is charged with Murder and Second-Degree Assault stemming from a shooting that occurred around 4 p.m. in the 10100 block of Laurent Way. Police said three people were shot that day: a 17-year-old who was shot in the head and taken to UofL Hospital in critical condition and later died, a 17-year-old with a gunshot wound to the leg, and an 18-year-old with a gunshot wound to the forearm.
Boyd was a juvenile at the time of the shooting, but police noted he is now an adult.
