A woman was hospitalized after she was shot while riding in a car in Louisville’s Pleasure Ridge Park neighborhood Tuesday night.
At about 11 p.m., Louisville Metro Police Department officers responded to a shooting in the 5300 block of Dixie Highway, according to a Louisville Metro Police Department news release.
Officers on scene found an 18-year-old woman, who was a passenger in a moving vehicle when she was struck by gunfire by an unknown suspect who fled before police arrived.
The victim was taken to UofL Hospital where authorities believe she will survive.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is leading this investigation.
