
Lexington police arrested a suspect after a man was stabbed during a confrontation outside his home Friday night.
Police say officers were called around 7:34 p.m. on June 12 to the 100 block of Cantaloupe Street for an assault with a weapon. Investigators determined the victim was stabbed while confronting a suspicious person outside his residence. The suspect fled, and the victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
With help from the department’s Real Time Intelligence Center, officers identified the suspect and took him into custody in the 200 block of Fairdale Drive.
Giovanny Perez Morales, 21, is charged with Robbery 1st Degree and Assault 2nd Degree.
