
A motorcyclist was killed Saturday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 64 West in Louisville, according to Matthew Sanders, a spokesperson for Louisville Metro Police.
Police said a motorcyclist crashed into a guardrail on the ramp from I-64 West to Interstate 264 East just after 3 p.m.
The motorcyclist was wearing a helmet, but speed was a contributing factor, according to police. The motorcyclist died at the scene.
LMPD’s Traffic Unit is investigating.
The roadway reopened just before 6:30 p.m.
