A two-vehicle crash in Oldham County claimed the life of a Louisville man and caused the interstate to be closed for more than five hours Tuesday morning.
According to Oldham County Police, the crash happened around 6:50 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 71 at the 14 mile marker.
Investigators say a transit van struck the rear of a semi-truck. The driver of the van, 26 year-old Benjamin R. Nystuen, was killed in the crash.
The collision remains under investigation. Anyone who saw the collision or has information about it is asked to call Oldham County Police at 502-222-1300.
