Veterans in Hardin and surrounding counties will soon have more options for health care closer to home after a new outpatient clinic broke ground Thursday in Elizabethtown.
The clinic will be located at 2221 Ring Road, southeast of the Pear Orchard Way and Ring Road intersection.
The clinic is expected to expand appointment availability and bring a wider range of services to veterans in central Kentucky. The clinic is anticipated to open in spring or summer 2027. Once open, it will offer primary care, radiology, mental health, and physical therapy services.
Officials said the goal is to make it easier for veterans to get care without long travel times, especially for routine visits and ongoing treatment.
Local leaders gathered for the groundbreaking and called the project a major step in improving access to care for Kentucky veterans.
