A body recovered Sunday afternoon from Grayson Lake has been identified as 19 year-old Marly Kinney from Ashland, who had been missing since June 24, according to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources.
Officials said Kinney’s body was found around 3:45 p.m. at Grayson Lake in Carter County. The cause of death will be determined by the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort.
Fish and Wildlife said game wardens led a five-day search after a report that a female passenger did not return with friends on a rented pontoon boat from Grayson Lake Marina. The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Fish and Wildlife Law Enforcement at 800-25-ALERT (25378) or Kentucky State Police Post 14 at 606-928-6421.
