
Louisville police report one person is dead after a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian early Sunday on Bardstown Road.
Police said officers were called around 4:49 a.m. to the 4500 block of Bardstown Road, where an adult man was struck by a vehicle that kept going south. A second vehicle then hit the man, stopped, and called 911. The victim was not in a crosswalk when attempting to cross the road.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. Anyone who witnessed the initial collision is asked to call the anonymous tip line at (502) 574-LMPD. Bardstown Road was shut down in the area for several hours as the LMPD Traffic Unit investigated.
