The Shively Police Department announced it has made an arrest after it found a man dead in a hotel in May.
Officers responded to the Days Inn Hotel on Cane Run Road on May 15 on a reported overdose. Officers arrived to find Charles Scott unresponsive in a room. After lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful, Scott was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was determined that his cause of death was the combined effects of ethanol and fentanyl.
After an investigation, Shively Police secured an arrest warrant for 53 year-old Terell Stoner, whom they believe sold Scott the fentanyl that resulted in his death.
On Tuesday, June 30, Shively Police worked with Louisville Metro Police, SWAT, the Fugitive Unit and the K-9 unit to take Stoner into custody.
He is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and charged with manslaughter.
