Metro Police say a Jefferson County man has been arrested and is accused of nearly hitting two family members with a vehicle, then threatening relatives with a gun during a June 19 incident.
According to court documents, 28 year-old Johnathan Brooks allegedly drove recklessly and veered toward his brother and a young related child, nearly striking them.
Investigators say Brooks later went to his parents’ home. There, he entered the residence, took a gun from his mother, and forced the weapon on her while also threatening his father.
Police say the suspect then fled.
A report was filed with the Louisville Metro Police Department and the case remains under investigation.
Brooks was arrested on Saturday, July 4, and is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections on Wanton Endangerment charges.
