
Kentucky State Police Post 4 arrested two men Tuesday, July 8, following the conclusion of two separate child sexual abuse investigations in Grayson County.
Although the arrests occurred on the same day, these are two independent investigations involving different victims and unrelated circumstances, according to Kentucky State Police.
Both investigations began in April 2026 and were conducted by detectives with Kentucky State Police Post 4. Upon completion of each investigation, Detective Travis Dalton and Detective Kevin Dreisbach presented their cases separately to a Grayson County Grand Jury, which returned indictments against both individuals.

The first individual, 37 year-old Jared T Joyce of Leitchfield, was arrested on charges of Sodomy, 1st degree (2 counts), Kidnapping, Sexual Abuse, 1st degree (2 counts), and Sodomy, 3rd degree. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center under a $1,000,000 cash bond. Kentucky State Police Post 3 troopers assisted with the service of the indictment warrant.

The second individual, Jason A Elmore, 50, of Clarkson, was arrested on charges of Rape, 1st degree, Human Trafficking-Comm Sex Activity (Victim<18), Unlawful Transaction w/ Minor, 1st – Ill Cont Sub, U/16 YOA. He was lodged in the Grayson County Detention Center under a $500,000 cash bond. The Grayson County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the service of the indictment warrant.
The investigations remain ongoing but no additional information will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the investigations and the privacy of the victims, according to Kentucky State Police.
All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
