Kentucky State Police Post 16 in Henderson is investigating a vehicle versus pedestrian fatal collision that occurred 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 7th, in the 300 block of Green Street in Henderson.
Preliminary investigation revealed a blue Ford F-150 operated by a 17-year-old male juvenile from Henderson was traveling eastbound on Green Street. Lamont B. Henderson, 66 of Henderson was traveling on foot crossing Green Street to Clay Street and entered into the travel path of the truck.
Henderson was pronounced dead on-scene and the juvenile was not injured in the collision.
It is early in the investigation and reconstructionists are collecting and processing evidence.
The investigation and reconstruction is ongoing by Kentucky State Police. Kentucky State Police was assisted at the scene by the Henderson City Police, Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, Henderson City Fire Department, Henderson County Emergency Medical Services and Henderson County Coronor’s Office.
