
Police are investigating a pedestrian vs. vehicle crash at Second Street and Broadway that left a man with life-threatening injuries around 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 19.
Officers said an adult male was attempting to cross Broadway in the designated crosswalk when a passenger vehicle moving southbound on 2nd Street attempted to make a left-hand turn onto Broadway, where they collided with the pedestrian.
The driver stopped and remained on scene to help the victim until first responders arrived. EMS and Louisville Fire took over medical and transported the victim to UofL Hospital with injuries described as critical and life-threatening.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Officers shut down the left side of Broadway in the area while the scene was cleared and to allow investigators to determine what happened.
