A 47 year-old man is in jail and facing over 40 counts related to possession of child sex abuse material.
Pemmon Person was arrested Thursday, July 23, after detectives received a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children in relation to the possession of child sex abuse material.
The arrest report said Person uploaded over 1,000 images or videos of suspected child sex abuse material to a cloud-based storage system, at least 20 of those images or videos involved a child under 12.
The report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children included Person’s name, date of birth, phone number, email address and IP address, which detectives were able to confirm.
The arrest report said Person told police he had viewed child sex abuse material involving children ranging from “babies to teens”.
Person was due to appear in court Friday morning. He is facing 20 counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance of a minor under 12 and 20 counts of possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor over 12, but under 18.
He is being held in the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections.
