The Scottsville Police Department, Allen County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI arrested 33 year-old Tyler Trivette, of Mountain City, Tennessee, on Thursday following an investigation involving a 15-year-old juvenile, according to authorities.
Trivette is charged with:
Rape, third degree
Procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means
Unlawful transaction with a minor, first degree (illegal sex act)
Officials said the investigation remains active and that no additional information will be released at this time to protect the juvenile’s privacy.
In a statement, law enforcement officials warned that anyone using social media or electronic communication to target children in Allen County should expect to be investigated and arrested if evidence supports criminal charges.
All charges are allegations, and Trivette is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
