
Indiana Department of Natural Resources officers are investigating the death of a Kentucky man found in a pond in Switzerland County.
According to Conservation officers, emergency responders were called to a private pond in Rising Sun around 11:20 a.m., Saturday, July 25, after tire tracks were spotted leading into the waters of the private pond.
The submerged vehicle was found in approximately 10 feet of water. The body of the victim, identified as 48 year-old Michael Downey of Louisville, was found nearby. An autopsy determined that Downey died from drowning.
Indiana Department of Natural Resources says the drowning remains under investigation.
