An Owensboro man was arrested in connection to shots fired from a semi in a drive-by shooting in Owensboro on Saturday.
Witnesses reported the driver of a black semi fired shots in the 5400 block of West 5th Street.
Some bullets hit a house on Ashland Avenue and nearly hit a person standing in his yard.
Information from the public and GPS data led the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department to arrest 55-year-old Derek Jennings on charges of wanton endangerment, criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident. He was lodged in the Daviess County Detention Center under a $100,000 cash bond and is scheduled to appear in court on August 12.
An AR-15 rifle was reportedly found in the vehicle at the time of Jennings’ arrest.
