
The Consumer Product Safety Commission has issued a recall for attic stairway ladders due to a bolt issue causing a fall risk.
More than 1.7 million Louisville, Featherlite, Lite and Century ladders with gas struts have been recalled.
At least one person has reported an injury and there are 11 reports of a bolt breaking.
The ladders were sold at Home Depot, Lowe’s, Do It Best, Orgill, and other retailers nationwide and on-line at Amazon.com from November 2012 through July 2026 for between $170 and $600.
1,770,000 ladders were sold in the United States and 13,054 were sold in Canada.
