Two men were taken into custody in connection with a fatal July shooting, according to Shively Police.
Officers responded to a shooting at HK Liquors in the 3200 block of Ralph Avenue on Saturday, July 11. At the scene, police found four victims who had been shot, with one dying from their injuries.
On Thursday, August 6, Shively Police Department announced the arrests of 32-year-old Dolonte Hooper and 31-year-old Terrell Gray in connection with the incident.
Hooper and Gray are both charged with complicity to murder, with Gray also being charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and illegal gambling at the liquor store on the night of the incident.
Surveillance cameras captured Gray taking cover under a pool table before he went outside with a gun and fired several shots. The store’s cameras also picked up audio of that gunfire.
Police also say Gray grabbed some cash during the robbery and noted that the gunmen never pointed their weapons at him.
HK Liquors’ license was suspended the day after the shooting, and the business is currently appealing the decision.
Hooper is being held at the Louisville Metro Department of Corrections, while Gray is housed in the Oldham County Jail.
Shively Police Department says the investigation remains ongoing.
