Kentucky State Police Post 16 was contacted by Hancock County dispatch requesting troopers to investigate a single vehicle collision near the intersection of KY-271 and Hilldale Road.
The initial investigation revealed that a red 1998 Ford Mustang left the roadway before striking an earthen embankment around 10 p.m. on Saturday, August 8.
The Hancock County Coroner pronounced 23 year-old Sean Woosley, of Hawesville and 25 year-old Joshua Wood, of Lewisport, deceased at the scene.
The collision remains under investigation by the Kentucky State Police.
