The Hopkinsville Police Department is investigating after an adult male was found dead in the roadway late Sunday morning.
According to police, first responders from Hopkinsville Fire Department and EMS were dispatched to the intersection of Jessie Avenue and South Walnut Street at approximately 11:45 a.m. following reports of an unresponsive male.
Once on the scene, emergency crews found the man, identified only as an adult in his 50s, and pronounced him deceased.
Following the discovery, the Christian County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene.
While the circumstances surrounding the death remain under investigation, authorities currently believe a medical episode may have contributed to the man’s passing.
