
A 17-year-old has been arrested in connection with a shooting that sent five people in the hospital, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Around 10 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, Louisville Metro Police officers responded to the 2200 block of St. Louis Avenue in the Park Hill neighborhood on reports of a shooting.
The scene spread as far as 12th and Oak, where police met and assisted the victims. It happened near a church, a community park, and a day care center.
Investigators said that in all, five people were hurt, including two men and three women ranging in age from their 20’s to their 50’s.
On Wednesday, August 19, Louisville Metro Police Department announced the arrest of a 17-year-old in connection with the shooting. Police said he is charged with four counts of second-degree assault, two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment, one count of possession of a handgun by a minor and one count of discharging a firearm across a public road.
LMPD’s Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is handling the ongoing investigation.
