The Louisville Metro Police Department announced it made an arrest in connection to a crossing guard who was hit by a vehicle Thursday morning.
A Louisville Metro Police Department traffic guard sustained minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle Thursday morning near Knight Middle School. At the time, Louisville Metro Police Department said the driver had been detained with charges pending.
On Friday, Louisville Metro Police Department said 61-year-old Eduardo Velasco has been arrested in connection to this incident on outstanding warrants.
Velasco has charges including public intoxication, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct, but those charges are from a prior incident, not the August 20 accident.
