Two people are facing multiple charges for allegedly damaging Flock cameras in three Kentucky counties.
In a social media post Wednesday, the Lawrenceburg Police Department said it discovered four of its Flock cameras had been destroyed or removed.
When the police department reached out to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Versailles Police Department, investigators learned those departments had experienced similar issues.
A witness reported seeing a black truck pulling a trailer stop along Kentucky 33 around 6 p.m. in Woodford County to Versailles Police.
The witness said a woman then got out and shot a Flock camera with a shotgun.
Lawrenceburg Police said the same truck was found near Pumphouse Road; and with the help of the Anderson County Sheriff’s deputies two suspects were arrested.
Jim Thacker, 44, is charged with criminal mischief, conspiracy to commit criminal mischief, and open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle.
Jovanna Grobe, 18, is charged with criminal mischief, complicity to criminal mischief, discharge of a firearm/other device across a public road, and failure to notify the Department of Transportation of address change.
Officers also found two shotguns in their vehicle that were believed to have been used in damaging the cameras and boxes of ammunition.
During the investigation, police learned both Thacker and Grobe were allegedly responsible for damaging or removing Flock cameras in Anderson, Woodford and Franklin counties.
Police said the investigation is still ongoing and more charges may be filed in other counties.
