Hardinsburg Home Destroyed In Early Morning Fire
Fire crews responded to an early morning house fire in downtown Hardinsburg Monday (3/13). Around 2:40 A.M. Hardinsburg Fire crews were called to a residence owned by Ron and Angie Lawrence at 307 South Breckinridge Street. According to Hardinsburg Fire Chief Raleigh Shelton, as crews arrived on the scene they found the two story structure fully engulfed in flames. Crews worked a couple of hours to bring the flames under control. The fire also spread to a neighboring residences which caused moderate to extensive damage to the structures and at least one vehicle was damaged as a result of the fire. Chief Shelton said the home was vacant. The American Red Cross is assisting those impacted by the fire. The cause of the fire has not been determined as the investigation being handled by Kentucky State Fire Marshall and Kentucky State Police. No injuries were reported. … [Read more...]
